The first leg of your journey will take you from London to Brussels (Midi/Zuid) by Eurostar. In just 2 hours 1 minute, you will have left hectic London behind to arrive right in the heart of Europe, passing through the Channel Tunnel.
In Brussels (Midi/Zuid), step on board a Eurostar or ICE train to Cologne. The 9 daily trains provide a direct service in just 1:51. Köln Hbf, Cologne’s main station, is set right next to the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, which you shouldn’t miss! The station’s just a few minutes away from the city’s shopping district, popular museums and numerous cosy restaurants and terraces.
Due to announced strike in Belgium, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Friday 21 February (10 pm) to Sunday 2 March 2025 included.
An alternative train service will be put in place depending on the available staff. The detailed schedule for every day will be available on www.sncb.be the day before (details for Saturday 21 February will be available on Friday 21 February in the morning).
For international trains (such as Eurostar, TGV INOUI, EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, ICE, OUIGO etc...), no consequences have been announced so far. We advise to check this page regularly for further updates.
Please take alternative service into account if you are travelling on our cross-border local trains to/from Lille, Maubeuge, Luxembourg, Roosendaal, Maastricht or Aachen or if you need to take a local connection in Belgium before or after your international journey.
