Köln Hbf (Cologne) is set in the very heart of the city, right next to the famous Cathedral of Cologne, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can’t ask for a more central location! This important rail hub is served by international Thalys, ICE and ÖBB Nightjet trains. Numerous daily direct trains provide easy links to all major German cities, as well as to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Austria.

The Office of the federal police ("Bundespolizei") is located to the left of the main entrance of Cologne Central Station, diagonally opposite the DB Reisezentrum (heading towards the Bahnhofsvorplatz exit).
Köln Hbf train station is served by metro, bus and tram lines.
There are several parking facilities around Cologne central station:
From Cologne Central Station, take a regional commuter train to Köln Messe/Deutz Station. There are direct connections every 5 minutes. The journey only takes 2 minutes. Koelnmesse is now only a short walk away.
If you travel to Cologne on an ICE train, your international train ticket to Cologne Central Station is valid throughout the entire Cologne area and will take you to Köln Deutz Station too. Thalys tickets however are only valid to Köln Hbf. You will need to purchase an additional ticket.
