Köln Hbf (Cologne) is set in the very heart of the city, right next to the famous Cathedral of Cologne, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can’t ask for a more central location!
This important rail hub is served by international Eurostar, ICE and ÖBB Nightjet trains. Numerous daily direct trains provide easy links to all major German cities, as well as to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Austria.
The Office of the federal police ("Bundespolizei") is located to the left of the main entrance of Cologne Central Station, diagonally opposite the DB Reisezentrum (heading towards the Bahnhofsvorplatz exit).
Köln Hbf train station is served by metro, bus and tram lines.
From Cologne Central Station, take a regional commuter train to Köln Messe/Deutz Station. There are direct connections every 5 minutes. The journey only takes 2 minutes. Koelnmesse is now only a short walk away.
If you travel to Cologne on an ICE train, your international train ticket to Cologne Central Station is valid throughout the entire Cologne area and will take you to Köln Deutz Station too. Eurostar tickets however are only valid to Köln Hbf. You will need to purchase an additional ticket.

* Unless expressly stated otherwise, all fares quoted are per person/per leg (VAT included) based on an online reservation for a 2nd class return from Brussels. Please note, terms and conditions apply. Tip: As the number of seats at the lowest fares on Eurostar, TGV INOUI and ICE trains is limited, we recommend that you book your trip as early as possible. Most international trains allow reservations to be made from 4 months before the date of departure (for Eurostar journeys to and from London, bookings can be made as early as 330 days before the date of travel, and for ICE as early as 6 months before the departure.).
