Your journey starts on board Eurostar or InterCity trains from Amsterdam Central Station. Both will get you to Brussels (Zuid/Midi) train station. The high-speed Eurostar trains run this route in 1:50, while the journey takes 3 hours on conventional InterCity trains, which do offer you higher flexibility.
Upon your arrival, you’ll find a wide range of public transport lines (tram, metro, bus or even train) on offer, so you can start your visit to Brussels with ease. If you’re up for it, you can even rent a bicycle and head to Grand Place, Manneken Pis and the city’s many other tourist attractions!
Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central from Monday 27 November to Friday 1st December 2023 included.
Passengers to Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.
Adapted timetables will be available in the international rail planners later on. Please check the schedules for your journey a few days before travel.
