Travel to Schiphol Airport by train

Are you flying from Schiphol? The easiest way to get there is by train! Whether you ravel with Eurostar, Eurocity Direct or ICE, your train will take you straight into the heart of Shiphol Airport, one of Europe's most important ones.

Due to announced strike, fewer trains are operating on the Belgian rail network from Sunday 25 January (10 pm - CET) to Friday 30 January 2026 included.

An alternative train service has been drawn up based on available train staff. Day after day, the details of this alternative train service are available 24h in advance on www.belgiantrain.be.

Please take this alternative train service into account if you need to take a domestic connection in Belgium before or after an international train journey, or if you need to take our regional trains just across the border (Roosendaal, Maastricht, Aachen, Luxembourg, Lille or Maubeuge).

ICE (Brussels-Cologne-Francfort)

  • During the entire week, all ICE trains are operating normally.

EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam)

From Monday 26 to Friday 30 January, 12 trains out of 16 will operate in each direction. The following trains are cancelled:

  • 9243: Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 13:44 - Rotterdam CS 15:50

  • 9271: Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 20:44 - Rotterdam CS 22:50
  • 9220: Rotterdam CS 09:09 - Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 11:17

Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam)

From Monday 26 to Friday 30 January, 8 trains out of 16 circulent will operate from Belgium to the Netherlands (most of them will terminate in Rotterdam, however). 9 trains out of 16 will operate from the Netherlands to Belgium (most of them departing from Rotterdam). The following trains are cancelled:

Besides, Eurocity Direct 9512 (departing from Amsterdam Zuid 06:03) will terminate in Antwerpen-Centraal instead of Brussels.

Validity of tickets for EuroCity and Eurocity Direct:

  • During the period of the strike, the validity of Saver tickets is not restricted to the train and time mentioned on the ticket. 
  • Your ticket is valid from 1 day before up to 1 day after their validity date, allowing you to anticipate or postpone your journey if necessary.
  • Tickets for the EuroCity and Eurocity Direct are exceptionally valid on local trains via Roosendaal. 
  • If you prefer not to travel, your ticket is fully refundable.

TGV INOUI

All TGV INOUI trains to and from Brussels are operating, except for:

Monday 26/01

  • 9886/7 (Nantes 5:59 - Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 11:01) is cancelled. However TGV 9884 from Rennes will be operating at the same time. Passagers of 9886/7 from Nantes can embark on TGV 9884 from Rennes.
  • 9832 (Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 15:03 - Nantes 19:50) is cancelled.

Tuesday 27/01, Wednesday 28/01 an Thursday 29/01.

  • 9886/7 (Nantes 5:59 - Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 11:01) is cancelled. However TGV 9884 from Rennes will be operating at the same time. Passagers of 9886/7 from Nantes can embark on TGV 9884 from Rennes.
  • 9832 (Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 15:03 - Nantes 19:50) is cancelled.
  • 9870 (Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 07:17 - Strasbourg 11:05) is cancelled.
  • 894/5 (Strasbourg 17:01 - Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 21:01) is cancelled.

Friday 30/01

  • 9886/7 (Nantes 5:59 - Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid 11:01) is cancelled. However TGV 9884 from Rennes will be operating at the same time. Passagers of 9886/7 from Nantes can embark on TGV 9884 from Rennes.

OUIGO Brussels-Paris

  • During the entire week, all OUIGO trains are operating normally.

Nightjet

  • The Vienna-Brussels train departing on Sunday night 25/01, on Tuesday night 27/01 and on Thursday night 29/01 will be limited to Cologne. The Brussels-Vienna train departing on Monday night 26/01, on Wednesday night 28/01 and on Friday night 30/01 will depart from Cologne. Between Brussels/Liège and Cologne, Nightjet passengers can use the ICE trains.

28 February - 1 March: Eurocity Direct will calling at Amsterdam Central instead of Amsterdam Zuid

Due to planned engineering works, the Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will exceptionally terminate at Amsterdam Central station instead of Amsterdam Zuid, and will therefore not continue to Almere and Lelystad on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March 2026 included.

In the opposite direction, the Eurocity Direct to Brussels will depart from Amsterdam Central as well.

Please check the adapted schedules before you depart.
