These discount cards can be used our website, depending on your route and train type (other discount cards to be used through our Contact Centre). Please note: you must show your card or proof of entitlement on-board.

Train+ (SNCB)

With Train+ you enjoy discounts during off-peak times, weekends and public holidays and capped fares on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains (not on high speed trains).

Preferential Reimbursement (SNCB)

If you're a beneficiary of Preferential Reimbursement, you get 40% discount on the Belgian part of cross-border journeys with conventional trains.

100% discount Belgium (SNCB)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Unlimited Season Ticket or token for free transport on the Belgian rail network (visual impaired travellers, parliament members, police in uniform etc.) do not pay for the Belgian part of international journeys with conventional trains.

40% discount Netherlands (NS)

Depending on the conditions of their season ticket (route, time of travel etc.), holders of some types of NS season tickets 40% discount on the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains.

100% discount Netherlands (NS)

Depending on the conditions of their season ticket (route, time of travel etc.), some types of NS season tickets cover the Dutch part of an international journey with conventional trains. Holders of a pass valid on the Dutch network also travel for free in the Netherlands (except on Eurostar).

100% discount Luxembourg (CFL)

Holders of a valid travel pass, Network Railcard or token for free transport in 1st class on the Luxembourg rail network do not have to pay for the Luxembourg part of an international journey with conventional trains (in 2nd class, free travel in Luxembourg applies to everyone).

Frequent Pass (Eurostar)

Holders of a Eurostar Frequent Pass enjoy reduced fares and even more flexible travel conditions on the chosen Eurostar route.

18 - 19 April: ICE Brussels-Frankfurt to depart a few minutes earlier from Brussels

Due to engineering works between Brussels and Leuven on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April, the ICE trains connecting Brussels with Cologne and Frankfurt will follow an adapted schedule and depart a few minutes earlier from Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and from Bruxelles-Nord/Brussel-Noord.

18 May - 2 June: longer journey times for ICE and Nightjet in Germany

Due to planned engineering works on the German rail network from Monday 18 May to Tuesday 2 June 2026, trains between Aachen and Cologne will be diverted via Rheydt.

ICE and Nightjet trains will follow an adapted schedule resulting in longer journey times.

Some ICE trains will only operate between Brussels and Cologne and will be cancelled between Cologne and Frankfurt.

- 100% refundable up to 1 day before departure date
- if you have Train+, you get a 40% discount during off-peak hours* on weekdays and 40% additional discount on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (on top of the basic 30% weekend discount) and you’ll never pay more than a capped price of €14 per journey in 2nd class or €22,40 in 1st class on the Belgian part of the journey.
Youth (-26), seniors (65+) and beneficiaries of preferential reimbursement:
- 40% discount at any time on the Belgian part of the journey
- for a single or return journey
- 100% refundable up to 1 day before departure date
- if you have Train+, you get an additional 40% discount during off-peak hours* and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (on top of your basic 40% discount and you’ll never pay more than a capped price of €5,50 per journey in 2nd class or €8,80 in 1st class on the Belgian part of the journey.
Accompanied Children (-12 years):
- children under 12 travel free if accompanied by a traveller aged 12 or over with a valid ticket (maximum 4 free children per paying traveller).
- unaccompanied children travel under the youth conditions (-26).

Good to know: Other fare ranges apply for travelling to Aachen with Eurostar of met de ICE.

*off-peak hours: departure from Belgium (or, coming from our neighbouring countries, departure from the first Belgian station after the border) from Monday to Friday before 6:01, from 9:00 to 16:00 and after 18:00.
