3 and 4 October: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Rotterdam.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2020, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central

Passengers to The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

4 October: ICE 318 calling at Köln Ehrenfeld instead of Köln Hbf.

Due to engineering works on the German rail network on Sunday 4 October, ICE 318 (Frankfurt Hbf 20h29 - Brussels-Midi 23h35) will be diverted around Cologne. As a consequence, this train will not be serving Köln Hbf main station, but will be calling at Köln-Ehrenfeld station instead (in the North-West of the city centre).

17 and 18 October: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Breda.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch rail network on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2020, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Breda

Passengers to Rotterdam, The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains from Breda. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

TGV Brussels-Rennes not operating on 24 and 25 October.

Due to engineering works in France, TGV 9838 Brussels-Rennes and TGV 9885 Rennes-Brussels will not be operating on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October.


31 October and 1 November: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Rotterdam.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2020, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central

Passengers to The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

Nightjet to Austria will depart half-hour earlier on 2, 5, 9 and 12 November.

Due to announced engineering works on the Belgian rail network, the Nightjet 425/50425 to Innsbruck and Vienna will be diverted between Liège and the German border on Monday 2/11, Thursday 5/11, Monday 9/11 and Thursday 12/11. As a consequence, the Nightjet will depart from Belgium about half an hour earlier than usual. 

  • Brussels-Midi/Zuid: departing at 17h32 (instead of 18h04)
  • Brussels-Nord/Noord: departing at 17h42 (instead of 18h16)
  • Liège-Guillemins: departing at 18h45 (instead of 19h08)

As from Aachen, the Nightjet will continue to Germany and Austria following the usual schedule.


7 to 19 November: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Breda.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch rail network from Saturday 7 November to Sunday 19 November 2020 inclusive, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Breda

Passengers to Rotterdam, The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains from Breda. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

Engineering works in Germany from 14 to 20 November: adapted journey times for ICE Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt.14 to 20 November: adapted journey times for ICE Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt.

Due to planned engineering works on the German rail network from Saturday 14 November to Friday 20 November 2020 included, the journey duration between Aachen and Cologne will be about 1 hour longer than usual.

ICE trains to Brussels will depart about 1 hour earlier from Frankfurt and Cologne, while ICE trains to Frankfurt will arrive about 1 hour later in Cologne and Frankfurt.

Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November: InterCity Netherlands not serving The Hague.21 and 22 November: InterCity Netherlands not serving The Hague.

Due to planned engineering works near The Hague, InterCity services connecting Brussels with The Netherlands will not be serving The Hague on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. The trains that usually serve The Hague will depart and terminate at Amsterdam Central (without calling at The Hague but with an intermediate stop at Schiphol Airport).

28 and 29 November: InterCity Netherlands not serving Brussels-Midi, Brussels-Central and Mechelen.

Due to planned engineering works on the Belgian rail network on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2020, InterCity services connecting Brussels with The Netherlands will exceptionally depart and terminate at Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord station (instead of Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid as usual). Consequently, the IC Netherlands trains will not be serving Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and Bruxelles-Central/Brussel-Centraal this weekend. Many connections to/from other Brussels stations are available at Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord.

As an additional consequence of these engineering works, the IC Netherlands trains will not be serving Mechelen either.

5 and 6 December: InterCity Netherlands not serving Brussels-Midi, Brussels-Central and Mechelen.

Reisen in Frankreich ab dem 13. Dezember: Fahrpläne am 6. Oktober.

Jedes Jahr Mitte Dezember ändern die verschiedenen europäischen Bahnunternehmen ihr Angebot an Zugverbindungen mit neuen Fahrplänen, die nahezu überall in Europa in Kraft treten.

SNCF meldet, dass Fahrpläne für TGV INOUI Reisen ab dem 13. Dezember 2020 bis, von und innerhalb Frankreich(s) erst am 6. Oktober veröffentlicht werden.


Mögliche Sicherheitskontrollen in Brüssel-Midi, Antwerpen-Centraal und Liège-Guillemins.

Seit Juli 2017 können Fahrgäste, die mit den Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen Thalys TGV oder ICE verreisen, in den Bahnhöfen Brüssel-Midi, Antwerpen-Centraal und Liège-Guillemins Sicherheitskontrollen unterliegen..

Diese Kontrollen sind Teil einer Reihe von den Behörden genommener Maßnahmen und werden durch bevollmächtigtes Personal auf nicht systematische und nicht dauerhafte Weise ausgeführt.

Wir bitten deshalb Thalys, TGV und ICE Reisende die Möglichkeit einer solchen Kontrolle zu berücksichtigen und genügend lange im Voraus vor Zugabfahrt am Bahnsteig einzutreffen.

Wir bitten außerdem alle Fahrgäste ohne Gegenstände zu reisen, die für andere Reisende eine Gefahr darstellen könnten.
