26-27 July: Eurocity Direct will terminate in Rotterdam

Due to planned engineering works, the Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will only operate between Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and Rotterdam Central on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2025 included.

Passengers to Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and use NS trains (Dutch Railways) to their final destination with their current ticket.

In the opposite direction, passengers from Amsterdam and Schiphol-Airport can use other trains to Rotterdam or Breda, where they can board on the Intercity train to Brussels.

Please check the adapted schedules before you depart.

24 - 25 May: changed schedule for OUIGO Brussels-Paris - no stop in Mons

Due to planned engineering works between Halle and Braine-le-Comte, the OUIGO service between Brussels and Paris will be diverted via Nivelles and Erquelinnes on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July 2025, resulting in longer journey times and no intermediate stop in Mons that weekend.

Please check the adapted schedules before you depart.

29 - 30 July: reduced itinerary in the Netherlands for EuroCity and Eurocity Direct trains

Due to planned engineering works on the dutch rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) services will be restricted as follows on Tuesday 29 July and Wednesday 30 July:

  • EuroCity: will only operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Rotterdam).
  • Eurocity Direct: the latest 4 evening trains from Brussels to Amsterdam Zuid will terminate in Rotterdam, while the latest 3 evening trains from the Netherlands to Brussels will depart from Rotterdam (instead of Amsterdam Zuid).

Between Breda or Rotterdam and their departure or arrival station in the Netherlands, passengers can make use of other trains operated by NS.

2-3 August: EuroCity and Eurocity Direct diverted via Roosendaal. EuroCity to terminate in Breda.

Due to engineering works on the rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) will be diverted via Roosendaal. Consequently,

  • EuroCity trains will only operate between Brussels and Breda (instead of Rotterdam) and will not serve the station of Noorderkempen. From Breda onwards, passengers can use other NS trains to their final destination.
  • Eurocity Direct will operate between Brussels and Amsterdam-Zuid following an adapted schedule.

2 - 17 August: ICE Brussels-Köln-Frankfurt only operating between Brussels and Cologne (adapted schedule)

Due to planned engineering works on the Belgian rail network, ICE trains connecting Brussels to Cologne and Frankfurt will be diverted from their usual itinerary from Saturday 2 August to Sunday 17 August 2025.

This will result in longer journey times. As a consequence, most ICE trains from Brussels to Germany will terminate in Cologne and ICE trains from Germany to Brussels will depart from Cologne.

Between Cologne and Frankfurt, passengers can use other trains operated by Deutsche Bahn.

16 - 31 August: works on high speed line between Brussels and French border

From Saturday 16 to Sunday 31 August 2025 inclusive, engineering works are planned on the high-speed line between Brussels and the French border. During these works, Eurostar and TGV INOUI trains will be diverted via an alternative route, resulting in longer journey times.
