Mögliche Sicherheitskontrollen in Brüssel-Midi, Antwerpen-Centraal und Liège-Guillemins.

Seit Juli 2017 können Fahrgäste, die mit den Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen Thalys TGV® oder ICE verreisen, in den Bahnhöfen Brüssel-Midi, Antwerpen-Centraal und Liège-Guillemins Sicherheitskontrollen unterliegen..

Diese Kontrollen sind Teil einer Reihe von den Behörden genommener Maßnahmen und werden durch bevollmächtigtes Personal auf nicht systematische und nicht dauerhafte Weise ausgeführt.

Wir bitten deshalb Thalys, TGV® und ICE Reisende die Möglichkeit einer solchen Kontrolle zu berücksichtigen und genügend lange im Voraus vor Zugabfahrt am Bahnsteig einzutreffen.

Wir bitten außerdem alle Fahrgäste ohne Gegenstände zu reisen, die für andere Reisende eine Gefahr darstellen könnten.

IC Namur-Maubeuge-Paris: engineering works between Namur and Charleroi from 5 August to 3 November.

Due to planned engineering works between Namur and Charleroi from Monday 5 August to Sunday 3 November, the Intercity Namur-Maubeuge-Paris will not be operating between Namur and Charleroi.

Engineering works in northern France on 28 and 29 September: no Intercity connection between Mons/Charleroi and Paris.No Intercity connection between Mons/Charleroi and Paris on 28 and 29 September.

Due to planned engineering works in northern France on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September, connections at Aulnoye and Maubeuge between the TER trains to/from Paris Nord and the Intercity trains to/from Mons or Charleroi will not be ensured.

Besides, TER trains will only operate between Maubeuge and Saint-Quentin according to a modified schedule. Substitution buses will operate between Saint-Quentin and Creil.


5 and 6 October: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Rotterdam.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central

Passengers to The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

Engineering works in northern France on 5 and 6 October: no Intercity connection between Mons/Charleroi and Paris.No Intercity connection between Mons/Charleroi and Paris on 5 and 6 October.

Due to planned engineering works in northern France on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October, connections at Aulnoye and Maubeuge between the TER trains to/from Paris Nord and the Intercity trains to/from Mons or Charleroi will not be ensured.

Besides, TER trains will only operate between Maubeuge and Saint-Quentin according to a modified schedule. Substitution buses will operate between Saint-Quentin and Creil.


Engineering works in northern France on 10 and 11 October: TER 2301 replaced by bus between St-Quentin and Aulnoye/Maubeuge.10 and 11 October: TER 2301 replaced by bus between St-Quentin and Aulnoye/Maubeuge.

Due to planned engineering works in northern France on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 October, TER train 2301 connecting Paris Nord with Maubeuge (departure from Paris Nord at 7h19) will be replaced by a bus service between Saint-Quentin and Aulnoye/Maubeuge. This will result in a delayed arrival at Aulnoye and Maubeuge.

In order to ensure onward train connections to Belgium, IC 19201 to Mons will depart from Aulnoye at 9h32 (instead of 9h17) and IC 19801 to Charleroi will depart from Maubeuge at 10h06 (instead of 9h30).


Engineering works near Amsterdam on 12 and 13 October: some IC Netherlands trains terminating at Schiphol Airport.12 and 13 October: some IC Netherlands trains terminating at Schiphol Airport.

Due to planned engineering works near Amsterdam on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October 2019, the earliest InterCity Netherlands services to Brussels (9212, 9216 and 9220) will depart from Schiphol Airport instead of Amsterdam Central. Likewise, the latest InterCity Netherlands train departing from Brussels (9263, 9267 and 9271) will terminate at Schiphol Airport instead of Amsterdam Central.

Engineering works in Germany from 14 to 20 October: adapted journey times for ICE Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt.from 14 to 20 October: adapted journey times for ICE Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt.

Due to planned engineering works on the German rail network from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 October included, the journey duration between Aachen and Cologne will be about 1 hour longer than usual.

Weekends of 1-3 November and 9-11 November: alternative schedule due to engineering works at Brussels-Midi.

During the extended weekends of Friday 1 to Sunday 3 November and of Saturday 9 to Monday 11 November included, important engineering works will be carried out on the rail infrastructure south of Brussels-Midi/Zuid station.

These works will have an impact on the schedule of international trains, especially to/from France and the UK. Between Halle and Brussels, international high speed trains will be diverted via rail line 26 (east of Brussels), resulting in longer journey times (+36 minutes) and reduced rail capacity.

For this reason, an alternative schedule will apply during these weekends:

  • Thalys will follow an adapted timetable (adapted timetable can be consulted within our international journey planner)
  • TGV® Brussels-France will operate an adapted service betrween Brussels Midi/Zuid, Brussels Nord/Noord, Lille Europe and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle (6 shuttle trains a day in each direction connecting Brussels with Lille Europe and/or Aéroport Charles de Gaulle). Booking on these trains will be possble as soon as their schedule is confirmed. Passengers travelling to/from other stations in France can change trains in Lille Europe or Aéroport Charles de Gaulle.
  • Eurostar will operate an adapted service to/from Brussels-Midi/Zuid on Friday 1, Sunday 3 and Sunday 10 November. On Staurday 2, Saturday 9 and Monday 11 November, Eurostar will not serve Brussels but will depart from and terminate at Lille Europe. Passengers can use the TGV shuttles between Brussels-Midi/Zuid and Lille Europe.
  • The ICE Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt will depart from/terminate at Brussels-Nord/Noord instead of Brussels-Midi/Zuid
  • The IC Netherlands trains will follow their usual schedule, except for the earliest 4 morning trains and the latest 4 evening trains, which will depart from/terminate at Brussels-Nord/Noord instead of Brussels-Midi/Zuid.

2 and 3 November: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Breda.

Due to planned engineering works near Rotterdam on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November 2019, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Breda

Passengers to Rotterdam, The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains from Breda. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

No trains between Mons and Aulnoye (F) from 9 to 11 November.

Due to planned engineering works, no trains will be running between Mons and Aulnoye (F) from Saturday 9 to Monday 11 November. Passengers who want to connect Mons and Paris with the Intercity Mons-Aulnoye-Paris connection can travel via Charleroi and Maubeuge.

16 and 17 November: InterCity Netherlands terminating at Rotterdam.

Due to planned engineering works on the Dutch railway network on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November, InterCity services connecting Brussels with Amsterdam will terminate at Rotterdam Central

Passengers to The Hague, Schiphol-Airport and Amsterdam can change trains in Breda or Rotterdam and make use of other NS (Dutch railway) operated trains. This applies in the opposite direction as well, for travelling from the Netherlands to Belgium.

Besides, the InterCity Netherlands train will not be calling at Brussels Airport-Zaventem due to planned works on the Belgian railway network as well.

No trains between Mons and Aulnoye on 16 and 17 November.

Due to planned engineering works, no trains will be running between Mons and Aulnoye (F) on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November. Passengers who want to connect Mons and Paris with the Intercity Mons-Aulnoye-Paris connection can travel via Charleroi and Maubeuge.

Friday 22 to Sunday 24 November: InterCity Netherlands not serving The Hague.22 to 24 November: InterCity Netherlands not serving The Hague.

Due to planned engineering works near The Hague, InterCity services connecting Brussels with The Netherlands will not be serving The Hague from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 November included. The trains that usually serve The Hague will depart and terminate at Amsterdam Central (without calling at The Hague but with an intermediate stop at Schiphol Airport).

IC Namur-Maubeuge-Paris: engineering works between Namur and Charleroi on 23 and 24 November.

Due to planned engineering works between Namur and Charleroi, the Intercity Namur-Maubeuge-Paris will not be operating between Namur and Charleroi on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November.

29 November to 1 December: IC 9236 and 9212 not serving The Hague.

Due to planned engineering works near The Hague, the following trains will exceptionally not be serving The Hague from Friday 29 November to Sunday 1 December included:

  • IC 9212 (departing from Amsterdam CS at 5h12) will be running from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport to Rotterdam and Brussels without calling at The Hague.
  • IC 9263 (departing from Brussels-Midi/Zuid at 18h45) will be running to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam without calling at The Hague.

Passengers to/from The Hague can use other trains operated by NS.

Reisen in Frankreich ab dem 15. Dezember: Fahrpläne am 3. Oktober.

Jedes Jahr Mitte Dezember ändern die verschiedenen europäischen Bahnunternehmen ihr Angebot an Zugverbindungen mit neuen Fahrplänen, die nahezu überall in Europa in Kraft treten.

SNCF meldet, dass Fahrpläne für TGV® Reisen ab dem 15. Dezember 2019 bis, von und innerhalb Frankreich(s) erst am 3. Oktober veröffentlicht werden.


Reisen in Deutschland ab dem 15. Dezember: Fahrpläne am 15. Oktober veröffentlicht.

Jedes Jahr Mitte Dezember ändern die verschiedenen europäischen Bahnunternehmen ihr Angebot an Zugverbindungen mit neuen Fahrplänen, die nahezu überall in Europa in Kraft treten.

Deutsche Bahn meldet, dass Fahrpläne für Reisen ab dem 15. Dezember 2019 bis, von und innerhalb Deutschland(s) mit Deutsche Bahn Zügen (ICE inbegriffen) erst am 15. Oktober veröffentlicht werden.

In der Zwischenzeit können - für Reisen nach dem 15. Dezember 2019 - direkte Thalys Verbindungen zwischen Paris, Brüssel, Köln und Dortmund (mit Haltestellen in Aachen, Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf Flughafen, Duisburg und Essen) schon ab dem 16. September gebucht werden.
