It’s an easy journey by train from Cologne to Brussels. With 2 high-speed trains – Eurostar and ICE - competing on this route, you’ll get to the Belgian capital in no time at all.
Set off in Köln Hbf, Cologne’s main train station, situated next to the famous cathedral. After a comfortable journey with a travel time of less than 2 hours, you’ll arrive at Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid, one of Brussels’ principal stations.
Upon your arrival, you’ll find a wide range of public transport lines (tram, metro, bus or even train) on offer, so you can start your visit to Brussels with ease. If you’re up for it, you can even rent a bicycle and head to Grand Place, Manneken Pis and the city’s many other tourist attractions!
Due to planned engineering works on the German rail network from Saturday 27 June to Thursday 23 July 2026, trains between Aachen and Cologne will be diverted via Rheydt.
ICE and Nightjet trains will follow an adapted schedule: ICE trains to Belgium will leave earlier from Frankfurt and Cologne, some ICE trains will be cancelled.
Please check the adapted schedules before you depart.
