Have your booking reference (a 6 or 7-letter code) ready. You can find this on your train ticket or in your confirmation email.
- Digital Homeprint ticket: the booking reference (DNR) is in the top-left corner of your A4 page
- Ticketless Thalys: the booking reference (PNR) is in your confirmation email from SNCB Europe and Thalys
- Normal ticket: the booking reference (DNR) is in the bottom-right corner of your train ticket and in your confirmation email
Call the SNCB Europe Contact Centre + 32 (0)70 79 79 79 (€0,30/min) and ask for a refund (subject to the conditions for your chosen fare) for your international train ticket.
Note: This only applies if you have booked your tickets with SNCB Europe by phone or online!
In the station
You can get a refund for your international train tickets at the following 28 stations:
Arlon, Antwerpen-Berchem, Antwerpen-Centraal, Mons, Bruges, Brussels-Centraal/Central, Brussels-Luxembourg, Brussels Airport, Brussels-Nord/Noord, Brussels-Schuman, Brussels-Midi/Zuid, Charleroi-Sud, Kortrijk, Tournai, Braine-l’Alleud, Eupen, Gent-Dampoort, Gent-Sint-Pieters, Hasselt, Leuven, Liège-Guillemins, Louvain-la-Neuve Université, Mechelen, Namur, Ostend, Ottignies, Sint-Niklaas, Verviers-Central.
Note: With a Digital Homeprint ticket or Ticketless Thalys, you can only claim a refund by phone or online. If you paid for your tickets by credit card, you’ll receive the refund via the same card.
Via the travel agent
If you bought your international train ticket through a travel agent, you can contact an SNCB Europe affiliated travel agency
for a refund.
