TGV® Fares
TGV® offers different fares that vary according to:
- travel class (1st class, 2nd class)
- flexibility (non-flexible, semi-flexible, fully flexible)
- passenger category (child, youth, adult, senior)
- availability
Fares automatically include mandatory booking fees, so that we can guarantee your seat.
Availability of seats in 2nd class is limited. The earlier you book, the better your chance of getting the fare you want.

Travel classes and ticket flexibility
Within our two different travel classes, 1st class and 2nd class, you can choose from three levels of ticket flexibility:
- Non-Flexible: "Prem's" fare, no exchange or refunds
- Semi-Flexible: "Loisir", "Loisir Weekend", "Young Person", "Senior" and "Famille Plus" fares. One exchange is possible up to departure, either in full (100%) or partial (90%)
- Fully Flexible: "Normal" fare, unlimited exchanges and fully refundable up to departure
TGV® fares vary according to the selected travel class and ticket flexibility. For instance, the 2nd class Prem's fare is the most economical.
Fares for specific passenger groups
Child fare:
- The Child fare applies to children under 4 who require a separate seat. Children under 4 can travel free if no separate seat is booked for them (1 child per accompanying adult). For safety reasons, registration at the check-in desk is mandatory. Children aged between 4 and 12 require their own separate seat at the Child fare.
- Travel class: 2nd class, 1st class
- Flexibility: Non-Flexible, Semi-flexible, Fully-Flexible
Youth fare:
- For young people under 26 on the day of travel. Where a return trip is taken, the passenger must prove that he was under 26 on the day of the outbound journey.
- Travel class: 2nd class, 1st class
- Flexibility: Semi-Flexible
Senior fare:
- For passengers aged 60 or over on the day of travel.
- Travel class: 2nd class, 1st class
- Flexibility: Semi-Flexible
Famille Plus fare:
- For adults travelling with at least one child under 12 years old (max. 2 adults per child).
- Travel class: 2nd class, 1st class
- Flexibility: Semi-Flexible
Wheelchair user fare:
- For wheelchair users, adults or children between 4 and 12. Passengers need to carry documentary evidence of the need for a wheelchair.
- Travel class: 1st class (2nd class fare)
- Flexibility: Fully Flexible
Wheelchair user's companion fare:
- For passengers accompanying someone who is entitled to the Wheelchair user fare (max. one adult companion per wheelchair user or two companions per child).
- Travel class: 1st class (2nd class fare)
- Flexibility: Fully Flexible
Blind person's companion fare:
- For any passenger accompanying a blind person (who is in possession of documentary evidence confirming his/her condition).
- Travel class: 2nd class, 1st class
- Flexibility: Fully Flexible
TGV tickets with ‘Any Belgian Station’ supplement
Departing from a Belgian station other than Brussels-Midi? For passengers who have a connection within Belgium before or after their journey with TGV® Brussels-France, most TGV tickets are available in combination with an Any Belgian Station (ABS) fare of € 7 single in 2nd class and € 10 single in 1st class. A TGV ticket with an ABS fare enables you to travel between any station in Belgium and Brussels-Midi (the departure and arrival station for TGV® Brussels-France). This connecting journey in Belgium may be taken from the day prior to your outward TGV journey and/or within one day following your return TGV journey.
And within the Brussels zone?
Tickets for TGV® Brussels-France are valid within the entire Brussels zone for travel to or from Brussels-Midi. There's no need to buy Connection ticket!
The Brussels Zone includes the following stations: Bockstael, Boondael, Bordet, Boitsfort, Brussels-Central, Brussels-Congress, Brussels-Chapelle, Brussels-Luxembourg, Brussels-Nord, Brussels-Schuman, Brussels-Ouest, Brussels-Midi, Delta, Forest-Est, Forest-Midi, Etterbeek, Evere, Haren, Haren-Sud, Jette, Meiser, Merode, Moensberg, Schaerbeek, Simonis, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, St.-Job, Uccle-Caelevoet, Uccle-Stalle and Vivier d’Oie.
