Travel by train to Zell am See? take Treski!

Zell am See (Zell by the Lake) is one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria. And justly so! It can boast of 54 ski lifts and 77 km of varied runs, amongst which a couple of ultra-steep harrowing black downhills recommended only for the most daring at heart! But that is not the end of it: you’ll discover all sorts of recreational facilities in the form of a cinema, public swimming pool, tennis hall, squash courts, sports school, skating rink, toboggan run, mountain-climbing school, and riding-school.

Maybe you are a true daredevil? In that case, after a rough day on the slopes, venture out into the many après-ski bars and discotheques and join the party until the wee hours of the morning. Or, putting it another way... take full advantage of the schnapps-time!

Zell am See

The Zeller See is a freshwater, crystal-clear lake some 4 km long, 2 km wide, reaching a maximum depth of 69 meters. During the summer months, the water’s average temperature is 21°C, ideal for diving and swimming. In the winter, the lake is frozen over solid and perfect for ice skating. And on top of this, as icing on the cake... a panoramic vista on the Austrian Alps. Yodlelahiti!
