Travel to Nice with the TGV high speed train

TGV train to the Côte d'Azur

Start your visit at Vieux-Nice. Leaving from Place Rossetti, criss-cross the neighbouring streets and enjoy the neo-classical architecture around Place Masséna. Admire its black and white tiling, the Fontaine du Soleil and its eighteen umbrella pines. This gives you just some idea of what Nice has in store for you in terms of ambiance.

It’s then up to you whether you’d rather got to the beach or discover other amazing places. The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the observatory, the Parc Phoenix with its greenhouses and tropical climate zones, the Parc du Château and the château’s monumental cemetery in its prime location in the Cœur des Niçois. And you shouldn’t leave this seaside town until you have enjoyed the Promenade des Anglais. This legendary 5km long quay follows the curve of the famous Baie des Anges and looks over a pebble beach where it is nice to take the air. And you should stop to enjoy the Hôtel Negresco, which is one of the city’s treasures.

Nice also has its fair share of museums, of which there are 15 in all. These include the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Musée Matisse and the Musée National Marc Chagall.
